The Planning Board consists of volunteer residents appointed by the Mayor & Board of Trustees. Such Board is organized under the provisions of Village Law of the State of New York and has all the powers therein conferred and is subject to all duties imposed therein.
The Planning Board shall hear, review, consider, decide and report upon any matter referred to it by the Board of Trustees.
The Planning Board consists of five (5) members, each appointed for a term of five years, and two (2) Ad Hoc members each appointed for a term of one year. A Chairperson is appointed from within the membership. The Board is assisted by a professional staff consisting of the Village Attorney and a Clerk.
The Planning Board meets once a month on the third (3rd) Tuesday at 7:30 PM at the Village Hall, 34 School St., Bayville, NY 11709. Public Hearings are scheduled in advance and are subject to notification requirements.
Applicants who are contemplating a proposal for their property must complete an application and submit same to the Planning Board along with a $300.00 fee payable to the Incorporated Village of Bayville. Applications may be obtained at Bayville Village Hall, 34 School Street, Bayville, NY.
