Village Tax Due Date Extended

Governor Cuomo issued Executive Order 202.32 which extends the interest-free period for the payment of property taxes for 21 days for those local governments whose chief executive officer made such a request to the Governor. Mayor De Natale made such a request which means the first installment of the 2020-2021 Village Tax is now due on July 22, 2020. Payments made by mail must be received prior to July 22, 2020 and/or clearly postmarked by post office with a date of no later than July 22, 2020. Any payments received after the close of business (4:30 PM) on July 22, 2020, or postmarked July 23, 2020 or later, will incur a five percent (5%) penalty for the month of July. Unpaid taxes will continue to accrue an additional one percent (1%) penalty for each month after July until payment is made.
