Best Tasting Water
Two Time, Back-to-Back Champions!
The Village of Bayville Water Department retains its title as Best Tasting Water in Nassau County for the second year in a row.
The Long Island Water Conference held its 36th annual Drinking Water Tasting Competition on May 7 and 8 as part of National Drinking Water Week at Farmingdale State College. The Village of Bayville Water Department competed against nine other Nassau County Water providers and, once again, came out on top.
This is the third time the Village of Bayville has competed. Our first time in 2019 we came in second place and the competition was not held in 2020-2022 due to Covid-19 policies. In 2023, we competed for our second time and took first place, bringing the trophy home to Bayville for the first time. This year we get to bring the trophy back for the second year in a row.
The trophy had our second name plaque added and is available for display at the Water Department office.
