To protect the safety and property of our residents, the Village of Bayville Building Department strictly enforces local contractor licensing requirements.
Required Licenses A valid license issued directly by the Village of Bayville is mandatory for the following trades:
- Plumbers
- Landscapers
- Tree Contractors & Arborists
Important Notice on Violations and Penalties Performing trade work without a valid Village license is a strict violation of local code. Furthermore, property owners are held responsible for the entities working on their premises. Allowing unlicensed work on your property—whether knowingly or unknowingly—is a violation subject to fines and penalties.
Permit Application Requirements When filing for specific permits, you must provide proof of your contractor’s Village licensing:
- 4-Digit License Number: Every plumbing and tree removal permit application must include the contractor’s official 4-digit Bayville license number.
- Homeowners: Please contact your hired contractor directly to obtain their 4-digit license number prior to submitting your permit applications to avoid processing delays.
